Well, this is an interesting new turn of events for me. Years ago I swore that I'd never get into something as trivial as blogging. Gah, that word is just silly, I don't think I'll ever use it again unless it's in an overly condescending way. Anyhow, for whatever reason I thought it would be entertaining to start polluting the internets with my trivial banter, so here I am.
Not that anyone asked, but I'll give you a little bit of information about myself now.
I'm 31, and live in South Carolina, much to my chagrin. I grew up in upstate NY which while not a great place to live, at least the people spoke well for the most part. I have a son that is just about to turn 1, I'm married, and we have two cats.
Initially my first sports love was football. I was big, and it was easy to run into people. I got better over the years, but let's face it, football is the easiest sport to get good at because mostly as long as you keep getting stronger, you'll get better. So I lifted weights and got bigger, and fatter.
Once my football playing days were behind me and I left college I got extra fat. I'm talking 347 pounds fat. It was sexy, I swear.
In the years since then I've always planned to lose weight, and I would here and there. Then I'd gain it back, and lose it again.
Ok, I know what you're thinking. By "you" I really mean nobody, since there really shouldn't be anyone reading this. Seriously, if you ARE reading this, don't you have something more productive to be doing? Well, if you're at work, I suppose you don't, and in that case, read on. Otherwise, go do something useful. ANYHOW, you're thinking "Great, another lame weight loss diary." That's not quite accurate I hope. Sure, I would love to be skinny and look great in spandex, but that's not the point.
Hopefully this will be a little more of a cornucopia of useless stuff. Maybe I'll talk about naming my bike one day, or why Derek Jeter is dreamy, or why NASCAR is so lame. I'm sure I'll talk a lot about food too, as that's one of my other loves.
Anyhow, I'm out for now. Maybe I'll be back soon.
